-The end of the racially segregated Central Jurisdiction in 1967
-The founding of Black Methodists for Church Renewal in 1967
-The birth, through merger, of The United Methodist Church in 1968
-The establishment of the General Commission on Religion and Race in 1968
The original “Legacy of Faith” was first broadcast in 1994 on “Catch the Spirit,” the popular United Methodist television program. This version has a new introduction and updated ending; the rest of the resource is intact.
