This ecumenical resource decreases the stigma associated with mental illness and increases church member's awareness of the need to develop mental health programs and ministries in the local church. DVD segments include:
1. Introduction; 2. Mental Illness in Adolescents and Young Adults: Shawn's story; 3. Depression and Anxiety Disorders in Adults: Carol's story; 4. Mental Illness and Older Adults: Jan's story; 5. How Congregations Can Respond: This final segment provides a five-step program of education, covenant, welcome, support and advocacy, to help clergy and laity begin to address mental-health issues in the local church.
