This video tape was made as one result of the project mandated to the General Commission on Christian Unity and Interreligious Concerns (GCCUIC) by 2000 General Conference concerning the challenging issue of homosexuality and the unity of the church. Two speakers representing differing points of view were invited to make presentations to the bishops. Then followed a candid discussion among bishops. For the sake of the conversation, the decision was made not to videotape the actual consultation. However, bishops were invited to speak on camera about the consultation and their experience of it.
