This is tape 4 of 6 in "Growing Through Grief" series. Unlike many other losses, grief from a divorce is often left unattended by society. Divorce often creates a cluster of losses, and discovery is often complicated by feelings of anger, bitterness and low self-esteem.
This is a program developed because of the growing awareness that divorce not as a legal state, but as a spiritual condition originating in the "hardness of your heart," is a condition familiar to all of us. From stories of those who have experienced divorce and those who remain married, persons can gain information on how marriages can be strengthened. This program is designed to be used in 13 sessions. Each session provides an overview from the host, Dr. Neil Paylor, interviews with persons who have experienced divorce and insights and personal reflections from a small discussion group led by Dr. Paylor.
Hosted by Dr. Neil Paylor, this third video contains the last 4 sessions: session 10.Change 11.Holding on to Faith; 12.Hope and Healing; 13.New Beginnings.

The most common reason for living apart from one's children is divorce. This situation is frequently difficult because of the incomplete grieving and the loss of opportunity to nurture. Interview clips include information and insights about feelings of guilt, the loss experience, parental conflict, and listening skills.
The divorce of one's parents is a traumatic event in a child's life. The biggest concern for almost all divorcing parents is how their children will be hurt by the breakup and what they should do to help their children. Hosted by Dr. Philip Stahl, this video will help you to find information on: Telling your child about your divorce, Recognizing levels of conflicts, Developmental needs of children through the years after a divorce, Helping your child lead a healthy life after divorce.
