This video examines the growth of the Meserete Kristos Church in Ethiopia. In 1982 the Marxist government closed all of their congregations and put their leaders in prison. The church went underground and continued meeting in homes. After the overthrow of the Marxist government in 1991, the church resurfaced to discover that they had grown tenfold, from 5,000 to 50,000 members. The film uncovers the secret of this amazing survival and growth under oppression. This is a great program on church growth, small groups and faithfulness in times of trial.

This 12-week small-group study helps us explore key features of Christian character and then, as a group, apply those learnings in daily life.
The 12-week structure of this study is based on two complementary teachings of Jesus: 1. Come and See (6 weeks)
The group will use Scripture, videos, study & reflection guide, and leader guide to experience, discuss, and meditate on the Christian model of attentiveness. 2. Go and Do (6 weeks)
Together, supported by the leader guide, the group will create and implement an action plan for applying and embodying attentiveness in their own lives.

This series is designed to walk you and your group down a path, six weeks at a time over the course of a year (36wks), to help you do the purpose-driven life together. For each title, the DVD contains six small group study sessions. Each study session contains a theme-introducing video (3-4 minutes long) and a 10- to 15-minute long teaching segment.
