An exploration of the farm crisis, an ecumenical resource for use in rural and urban congregations. The ecumenical dimension is being emphasized in order to call attention to the agreement among the churches on this point: the family farm should be supported and maintained, in so far as possible.

Henri J.M. Nouwen offers reflections on the Pentecost Movement of the Spirit of God. A movement inward and a movement outward which culminated in union with God in service to others.

This video is an introduction to United Methodist participation in ecumenical ministries made possible by the Interdenominational Cooperation Fund. In this program, viewers will meet two persons: Naomi Christensen, a farmer from Hastings, Iowa, and Larry Pickens, a pastor from Chicago, Illinois. Through their words and activities, ecumenism takes on a local flavor, and the ecumenical forums emerge as active forces in the life of the United Methodist Church. The program will help local church finance committees, administrative boards and councils and work areas on Christian unity and interreligious concerns. It will assist them in interpreting the work of ecumenism and encouraging its support through the Interdenominational Cooperation Fund.

This is an introduction to Islam and Muslim in the United States. After a summary of Muslim practices and a biographical sketch of the Prophet Muhammad, it visits a mosque in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Then the show highlights how Christians and Muslims are working together in two U.S. communities.
